The "lightened natural stone" is a technologic solution obtained from the combination of an aluminium honeycomb panel with natural stones of variable thickness through a bi-component epoxy adhesive. This final product allows for the natural stone to maintain its aesthetic features unchanged, while it enhances its resistance and decreases its weight.
A 1m x 1m x 3cm thick marble slab weighs approximately 84 Kgs; An equivalent aluminium honeycomb panel weighs 2/3 less, approximately 27 Kgs.
Therefore, the "lightened natural stone" becomes an ideal solution for both ventilated facades and raised floors, for both outdoor and indoor areas where flexibility is key to ensure prompt and efficient maintenance.
